Good news finally......

I am once again a member of the gainfully employed.
I know more details of my job next week as I begin the paperwork shuffle.
Down to the bottom of the seniority list for vacations and such. A cut in pay, but then again, I am starting over in a new career.

I don't play golf anymore. Well, maybe I do sort of. I quit keeping score, started drinkning beer and I started playing better.

I'll be working for that evil corporate giant Waste Managment. Of course I'm starting out in the collection area (trashman), but, I'm collecting a lot of data about vermicomposting, and accelerated composting. Vermicomposting on a large scale of say 100,000 lbs of worms per 'bed' can consume their own weight in organic waste per week. This can result to as much as an 80% conversion to soil/plant ready material in 21 to 28 days. There are several high volume swine farms in NC that currently use vermiculture to dispose of solid animal waste. The worm 'castings' can sell for as much as 5 times the price of standard compost. Accerlerated composting requires a greater initial capital investment than vermiculture. The requisite water, oxygen, etc. supplies, automated tumblers (30-50 ton capacity) etc. ad naseum. Yet this method can produce finished compost in a fortnight. Of course I have a great deal more research to do, and then a presentation to put together. The very worst they might do is say no.

My next door neighbor had a trash hauling business. Early on, he set it up to sell to WM at some multiple of future revenue. The contract included a no compete clause. WM couldn't set up dumpsters in my neighbors defined territory.
So he went about building the business. Worked his butt of buying, fixing and hauling dumpsters, buying trucks. Grew the thing incredibly. IT was amazing.
Came time for WM to buy his business by contract. Turns out, over the years, my neighbor had spotted WM dumpsters in his territory, and duly documented this while keeping quiet about it.
When WM demanded he sell, he pulled out the pictures, and then sold his business and merged into a WM competitor looking to tap into our region. He made $10's of millions on the deal. About twice what he would have made from WM.
Moral of the story. WM's growth has been built on this business model of buying out small competitors, but they end up mismanaging the consumed product.
I'm just saying.
So paunchy, I don't know what the hell you're talking about but if you have some vermiculture idea, but why not set up your own business and pitch it to WM in a similar,
