Listening on the radio on the way home last night, they had T Paw as the most logical choice.
If this were to happen, it would likely break Minnesota's streak in presidential elections. Let's see: '76, '80, '84, '88, '92, '96, '00, and '04 That's 8 straight elections in which a Democrat carried MN. We're an odd state politically. Republican governors (and Jesse) for most of my adult life plus one right wing senator and one left wing senator (and one reeaaally left - Wellstone) serving at the same time. It's like we need to balance everything out.

Still jonesing for a Obama/Edwards ticket.
Of the choices that were/are out there, these two intrigued me the most. Edwards would have faired much better IMO if one of the other two hadn't run.

Yeah, that's a pretty big margin, considering the nation-wide outcome. Chimpy carried Ohio by only 2% in 2004. A 1.1% swing for Kerry, and Dubya's out of office.

I will seriously consider voting for McCain if Billary is the Dem nominee.
What if it's the Mormon dude on the other ticket? No fudgin' way. The most terrifying scene in electoral politics over the last 2 weeks has been MBA, former investment banker, and middlingly large family fortune scion Mittens Romney declaring how he 'Understands The Economy', a movie we've all seen before. Florida Republicans also understood as they swung to McCain specifically on the economy if the exit polls are to be believed. He'll never win, anyway. Expect partisan hack extrordinaire Limbaugh to fall right in line with a McCain/Lieberman ticket, although it's possible that Hannity and Fox will sit this one out by handling Hillary with kid gloves and subjecting McCain to the sort of 'Non Coverage Coverage' usually reserved for Republican bathroom stall cruisers. Hillary will have to go hard left and west for a Veep, mostly as a sop to an already deeply distrustful base. It looked like that's what Richardson and Kucinich were running for from the beginning anyway. Howard Dean could reappear, and probably will if it's Obama....

PS: Never forget that for every Keith Ellison in Minnesota politics, there's also a Michelle Bachman

I'm pretty sure with McCain I get realism and a fair fight as well. I don't think I get the same thing with Billary, and I KNOW I didn't get it with ideologically driven BushCo.
