IRS/income tax question
« on: February 04, 2008, 08:12:47 PM »

What is the standard deduction for filing jointly?  Just recieved the W-2's from my last employer.  Right now I'm looking at ca. $9K, if I itemize.  Just want to know for when I go to the tax preparer.

I don't play golf anymore.   Well, maybe I do sort of.  I quit keeping score, started drinkning beer and I started playing better.

Dude.   Turbo Tax.

I fought it forever ('cause I was scared of the unknown..........and my computer ignorance) but it's the real deal.

Love it.

Tell that to SWMBO!  Disgusted  If mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy.  Did TT for years then she started wanting to know why some of the calculations were made.  I told her to do the damn taxes herself, I had to file two extensions before she finished.  The preparer actually takes the time to talk to her about everything, and he charges for it too.  Better him than me answering the same question 17 times.
