Looking forward to a big time course this year?
« on: February 07, 2008, 02:59:47 PM »

Aske's PB post got me wondering if any of you have big plans this year as regards top notch courses.  I got to play PB last year and although the Bandon trip is on again I don't have any newbies in my sights.

Probably go home summer of '09 and try to play Portmarnock in addition to Tulfarris and The European Club (both of which I've played before).  Nothing really this year though.  Just my local dog tracks.   Sad

* Not that you should feel too sorry for me.  Our locals are pretty nice.   Wink

nope, i'd just be happy to get 5-6 rounds in locally.   2-3 is looking more likely.
oh well.

Bandon Trails. hint, hint  Cool

Nothing big for me this year either. I've been wanting to get over to Whistling Straits but it doesn't appear to be in the cards as of this posting.

Depends upon a potential trip to the UK this spring, but that may not be long enough to get in any fun  Sad

Otherwise, nothing too big planned.  My highlight was Torrey Pines South a few years back.

Nope.  I keep angling for Pinehurst, but I can't get an intersection of time, money, health and permission.

I'll be thrilled if I make it to Bountiful Ridge once or twice.

On the 21st of this month (less than two weeks) I am going on a girls golfing holiday for a week at the Sunshine Coast.  Oh and bye the way, I have been told, "What happens on tour, stays on tour.  Wink Grin

You know, Minneapolis is ripe for a tour stop.  We've got the amenities host such an event. Wink

I'm hoping I'll be invited to play in the scramble again that let me play Oak Tree Men's Club.  Don't think I'd want to play that Pete Dye monster with my own ball though.  It was brutal enough in a 4 man scramble but well worth it.

No "name" courses for me, although I'm going to Arizona in March and Indianapolis in August. Cool

"I wouldn't touch that course with another man's balls."

Or something else.
