Contracts in the NFL mean absolutely nothing. Wink

Sad to see Mewelde Moore (MeMo) go, he breaks tackles as good as anybody and is a great receiver.

Very good at punt ruturns, always makes the first couple guys miss, doesn't run backwards, has great vision, lacks top end speed, but accels very well, and knows when to fair catch. So naturally Childress didn't have him returning much this year, and had Bobby Wade doing it. Huh? Scratches Head Oops

interesting, because aside from  the horrible OL play, and the ridiculous bad depth outside the starting safety tandem,    PR  is by far the steelers biggest need going into 2008 (well, that and a couple of teams on their schedule to catch the flu and forfeit).   since OL are getting ridiculous paydays in  free agency, i only see them addressing the PR and maybe the safety problem in F.A. and using ALL their early draft picks on OL (well, maybe not if something truuuuuuly bizarre happens...)  seems like he might be cheap enough out there to meet the PR duties while adding another potential changeup to the 3rd down offensive package...

Steelers signed MeMo. Cry At least he didn't go to the Pats. Grin

Running back Mewelde Moore has agreed to a three-year contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Sounds like the deal is 3 years for 5 million with 1.3 million signing bonus. For that price the Vikes should have kept him. Good signing for the Steelers.

Tomlin pulls Moore. Childress cannibalizes what he can from what's left of the Eagles.  Sad

Oy!

now the steelers just need 4 average or 3 good +  OL, a good starting/backup safety, and a great DE   and they could contend again in 2009.

With the signing of Bernard Berrian, we're only 52 rosters spots away from contending in '08.
