Went to IMAX today
« on: April 22, 2008, 08:31:46 PM »

Spent the afternoon in Downtown Seattle.  First saw the Grand Canyon 3D movie at IMAX.  Was absolutely blown away with this film.  Then went and had Chinese for lunch.  Came back in time to see Shine a Lite at IMAX.  Wife and thoroughly enjoyed this flick also.  In fact, we were thinking that the Grand Canyon film would be the one we would like the best.  We changed our minds.  The Rolling Stones film is a HIGH RECOMMEND with the proviso that it be seen on IMAX theater.  Listening to these guys since early 60's and have always enjoyed them.

Been once.  Underwhelmed.  Might have been 'cuz I was sitting next to the Clampetts.

Reminded of the time I took my oldest daughter a few years ago. The movie started, she grabbed the arm rests and yelled, "Dad, we're moving!".

I really like watching movies made for IMAX in IMAX theaters.  I saw Batman Begins in an IMAX theater, though, and it was hard to follow several of the scenes.

I love IMAX, unfortunately Darla does not so I don't get to go as often as I would like. We have two they built in the last 10 years close to us but haven't made it to one for a full length feature yet. Might have to do that this summer with the boys one day.

Dys, I saw a kid's movie the one time I went.  Perhaps that's why it didn't rock my world.  I should give it another chance with a bona fide IMAX movie.

IMAX is pretty cool.  I guess.

I haven't seen any big productions, just the quickies that you get at Valley Fair.

Haven't been to Valley Fair in a couple of years. What part of the park have they added this attraction?  Tongue
