chilly mcnerd shows a vote of confidence in tlame by passing on henne/brohm there
And the Steelers showed they have no confidence in "Mr. double the fumbles than TD's" by getting Mendenhall. nope, as omar epps jr said in the interview , they don't really need a RB but that he's just way too good to pass up at that draft slot, regardless of lack of need. basically when a top 10 player is available at 23, you take him. even if you already have 3 of him . and funny that, parkers career fumbling stats don't seem to bear out your claim.

Mendenhall: Only carried the load for one season...Has some issues with ball security...Is not overly elusive...More quick than fast...Doesn't always play to his timed speed....A between-the-tackles-type who could have trouble turning the corner in the pros. Maybe you will have 2 RB's that will have double the fumbles than TD's now.

Maybe u can have 2 RB's that will have double the fumbles than TD's now. meanwhile, overall they will combine for less total fumbles than peterson will have, and the steelers as a team will put up more overall offensive points than the vikes while playing in a tougher division and conference. go figure

Nah, it's just lame sad funny when the Steelers draft depth, "you can't pass him up" but when the Vikes do it, its the other side of the coin.

so at the end of day 1, steelers 2008 starting roster looks like
Big Ben (elite) Parker / Mendenhall/ Davenport / Moore (elite) Miller (good-elite) Holmes (elite), Sweed (?), Ward (good) Smith-Kemoeatu-Mahan(or Hartwig)-Simmons-Colon (horrible to bad)
Smith, Hampton (good, elite), Kiesel (average) Woodley, Harrison (good, elite) Farrior, Foote (good, average) Taylor, McFadden (good, good) Polamalu, Clark (good-elite, average-bad)
yet despite this load, they'll be lucky to go 8-8 LOL

Nah, it's just lame sad funny when the Steelers draft depth, "you can't pass him up" but when the Vikes do it, its the other side of the coin. the steelers took another 1st round top 10 quality rb to go behind another top 10 quality RB , because he was available at 23. now yes, more realistically the steelers need to take 3 top 30 quality linemen, none were available at 23. you'd already had the falcons move up to take a consensus mid 2nd rounder Lineman at #21 or whatever it was. asking any non-biased-vikes-fan, and you will get the consensus observation: the vikes CLEAR weakest spot is QB. they had the chance to take the likely #1 pick from last years draft at QB (if he had come out, dumb decision in hindsight to stay his senior year!) to replace (or even just backup and provide some 'incentive' competition) for their bottom 5 level QB, and to only have to spend a mid 2nd round pick to do so. now you get to see him go against you 2x a year for the next 8-10 years. by 2011 he'll be picking you apart. just a slight , slight difference. i don't know why you take my criticism of your team , and your players so personally and dismissively-- I don't just make this up or say it out of spite. I actually would like to see them do ok. (unless it's against the cowboys or steelers anyways) at the risk of bragging, I would think you would throw at least a slight passing credence to my observations based on my thrashing of the fgi pickem and preseason pools, for instance.

well, late 4th round and steelers finally take an OL. Tony Hills, U Texas. a LT who might someday transition to guard if he can develop the strength to block on the move. bigtime questions about leg health
