Nike, because I couldn't have them growing up.

Same with Levi's.

korprit hate aside,  if anyone else made decent (in terms of how they feel to me when in use)  bball shoes,  i'd gladly give them a go.

I think Reebok measured my feet for their walking shoes.

Cool  Back in my playing days I wore Nikes a lot. But I think others make pretty decent hoops shoes now as well.

I'm just not a big Nike the company fan these days.

Whatever's on sale.

Fred Meyer has had these all white Nike's forever, usually run about 40 or Fiddy bux, and uhhh, not to brag Dys but I'm a "wide" too. So that's usually what I buy.

I really hold no allegiance to brand, and I know I probably should be checking for things like good arch support but I don't, I really only use them for walking and I'm a cheap sumb****.

Oh, I so like the feel of new no shoes. Smiley

Call me Huck Finn.  I hate shoes with no small degree of outrage/incense.  I've been in flip-flops since late February.

Well, there's a bit of that, too.  Doesn't matter what time of the year, if I'm inside the house, I'm not wearing shoes.  Or socks.  (I really wish Kev would do the same.  It would save a lot of socks from an early demise.)

I looked at the receipt (I still had it in the box), and I ordered 'em in August 2006.  The "old" pair, or rather "used" pair, is still in pretty decent enough shape, just the arch support is totally shot.  They'll be great for mowing the lawn, tramping through the woods, and etc.  If I'm home, no shoes or flip flops.  Sports activities or going somewhere, I try to wear shoes (although, sometimes I still forgo them anyway, depending).

Still, I like the feel of new shoes.

Running:  Asics
Casual/Athletic/Knock-around:  Puma

I have more Puma's than any other but they aren't very athletic.  The only pair of actual running shoes I own currently are Asics.

Coworker triathlete friend of mine is test runner for Nike.

They send her free prototype running shoes....she racks up 300 miles on them if they feel OK, answers a few questions and sends them back to Nike.  3 days later, the next trial pair arrives....

Her shoes are always stylin'......

I had a friend in college on that plan (cross-country and track runner).  Nike's air sole technology was fairly new at the time, and those shoes lasted well more than 300 miles.  We got his leftovers when the new pair arrived.
