[$.02]I think it's a perfectly reasonable observation that even during a financial downturn/slowdown/whatever euphemism you prefer, many people have apparently chosen to prioritize entertainment. I don't see how this is "passing judgment." $60 spent on a video game is $60 that could be spent somewhere else. If someone chooses to spend that $60 on a video game, that's an indication of their priorities, is it not? If the thread had been titled "*feces*ty Economic priorities" that would be a different statement entirely.

If I choose to fill up the gas tank on the bike for $15 and go ride 250 miles, I have made an economic choice based on my personal priorities. There are those who would prefer to use that $15 to buy a movie ticket or a liter of gin or whatever. Different priorities.[/$.02]

And for the record, I think spending $60 on a video game is stupid.  Devil

Most kids just buy the commercial swag.  That is still $10 for an 1/8 and varies greatly in quality, imported from mexico usually.  The stuff I pay $60 an 1/8 for looks like it came out of a High Times centerfold or the Cannabis cup in Amsterdam.  It is iced out with THC and has no seeds.  That *feces* is two hits and quit if you know what I'm sayin'.

Understood.   Smoking

After 22.5 years I imagine two hits would take me down so hard I'd come out the other side.

I took a couple of hits of stuff like that once. I'm told I enjoyed it.
