Ok, F.F. Question.

After Sir Aske, was so kind to give me the upgrades;(which I'm still clueless. All me, All me.) I find FF running very,very slow. I disabled script on Golfhos, but each page is taking like 20-30 seconds to load. WTF? Am I missing sumpin? What settings should I be on?  I'm just so green.  mice on teh mother farkin' plane. |

about:config in the url bar
search for prefetch
toggle them to off

weird. i use the EXACT combination of extensions i sent you. sometimes golfhos itself is just slow to respond to requests. here's a diganostic tool, of course uninstall them, reinstall them 1 at a time... see if performance changes...  |

about:config is like all the options inside hte program type about:config where you would normally type "golfhos.com" it will have a huge list search the list where it says "filter" by typing prefetch disable this (it is automatically on) this might* be slowing you down some |

just close the tab.  if you're still running slow, you might do a system monitor of the firefox.exe memory usage. if it's hogging/leaking memory, just kill it and reload it. firefox is buggy about this with some machines... you can also try tweaking the cache size and finally, like i said earlier, you can 'debug' the extensions 1 at a time to see if they are causing your problem, but like I said, i have the EXACT same set on this machine-- no more, no less. and experience no real 'speed' loss |
