frickin storms
« on: June 10, 2008, 02:00:47 PM »

power has been in and out along with the cable for the past 3 days. at least i have power there is 200,000 in my area that don't. ours was out for the first 24 hours solid.  :candle:we went for a drive yesterday i should have taken the camera. there were streets we drove down where every house had full growth trees blown over on top of the houses and cars. my subdivision was pretty much unscathed. the next one over looks like an atomic bomb went off. no tornado's just straight line winds up to 80 mph. sunday afternoon it was sunny when i started grillin and within 10 mins. it was Armageddon.  Shocked

i've got a total of about 15 mins of internet and TV today.   Cry

tell me about it

We lost power the night before last too.  Probably got 4" overnight, with some serious straight line winds over 60 mph.

It has been a bi-weekly occurance around here lately.

It was gorgeous this morning, now it's blowing like a cheap hooker at Fleet Week. Rain on its way.  Disgusted

We've been in the very high 90s for several days now.  Raleigh (north of us) has gone over 100 2-3 days in a row now.

Probably a big thunderstorm coming our way, though, judging by the radar and pressure ...

It's been sunny with mild, spring-like temperatures for the past week or more. We could use some rain or clouds to break up the monotony.

Blew through here yesterday and this morning. Especially yesterday temps dropped about 20 deg. My parents didn't have electricity this morning but we did and they live about 1.5 miles away.
