Euro 2008
« on: June 20, 2008, 08:35:37 PM »

Yes I'm late to the party but I am rooting for the Oranje. I just wish they were on the other side of the bracket from the Spaniards.

That is all.

My TV is on the blink and it's the one connected to the DVR so I haven't seen half as much as I'd like.  But... Holland looks very, very good.  Some of the most beautiful football I've seen.  Having Robben and Van Pearsie off the bench doesn't suck much.

Still... viva la espaņol or whatever.   Wink

I had a Clive moment today, that didn't involve leather and or male genitalia.

Taped Croatia/Turkey.

Found out who won before I got a chance to watch the match. Is it just me, but I can't watch something like that when I know the outcome.

*edit*

Especially when it's nil nil and  went to pk's

They have been very fun to watch. And I like Orange.  Laughing

Another team that has been fun to watch if you don't have a lot of time to invest - catch the last 10 minutes of any game Turkey is playing.  Shocked

Yes - you're late......

 Smiley

good thing we dont have tommy smyth announcing.

No argument there - I've come to hate listening to him.  Ridiculous announcing and now that voice even bothers me.  ESPN needs to get a clue.  Devil

But - w00t for the Clockwork Orange!  As the announcer said - THATS why I like Dutch football!  Up 3-0 with 20 to go and they did not put 11 behind the ball, they did not run to the corners and stand on the ball - they continued to play!  Italy would have gotten one goal, put all 11 behind the ball, camped on the 18 yard line, and bored the living *feces* out of me.  They deserve to be beaten silly by a team that 'plays the game'.

Spain.  Book it.

I'm looking forward to a Netherlands - Spain semi (or Final in my estimation).  Winner likely to face Germany.  Spain does have the talent and depth - I like em!  And I just have to root for anyone that plays Italy anyway - so its twice as nice Sunday!

I still gotta love the Clockwork Orange - they're my #2.
