NCAA Top 25 matchups this weekend
« on: October 06, 2006, 01:02:05 PM »

Some good Top 25 matchups this weekend.  Anyone going to watch any of them or care to make any picks?

#9 LSU at #5 Florida (-1)

#7 Texas (-3.5) at #14 Oklahoma

#13 Tennessee (-2.5) at #10 Georgia

#11 Oregon at #16 California (-4.5)

I plan on watching Texas/Oklahoma and Oregon/Cal.

i watch my fair share of ncaa  ball.

this year there's SOOO much parity in the top 25 that picking games is pretty tough, and hence you might have noticed a lot fewer lines with more than td  as the spread

my (don't hold me liable if you lose picks)

texas
tennessee

I'm picking Oklahoma as the spoiler. Florida pwn3d Alabama, I don't imagine they'll have any difficulty covering the spread against LSU. Can't call the other two.

I only gamble on games when I'm in Vegas, but I find it more fun to watch when I make picks ahead of time.

Here are my picks:
LSU
Oklahoma
Tennessee
California

lsu's only weak offensive performance has been against auburn... pretty stiff D there.   i think they have the team speed on D  to stop florida to around 20 points.      florida's D  has been largely untested this year (save tennessee)

Those are terrible uniforms for Cal!  I just turned the tv on and just assumed the gaudy unis where the Ducks, then I noticed the colors were blue and gold. Disgusted
