Sorry but I want to share some sad news from a friend...
« on: July 07, 2008, 11:42:59 AM »

and coworker of mine.  We are cubicle neighbors and have the same job with the same manager.  You may remember last December that the inconvenience of the ice storm Dec 10th was tempered by tragedy within my friend Rocky's family.  On that day, Rocky's 4 month old son Jace didn't wake up from a nap and wasn't breathing for at least 15 minutes.  He was revived by doctors and paramedics but in a coma for a week or two and on breathing and feeding tubes for much longer.  In the past 7 months his recovery has progressed in small steps each month but the long-term effects were not completely known due to his age.  Rocky and his family were very hopeful and full of positive thoughts that he would make a complete recovery.

Jace didn't wake up Saturday morning and was unable to be revived this time.  My friend’s 11 month old son passed away in bed between him and his wife.  Thankfully, something so tragic couldn’t have happened to a stronger couple.  They are full of the Lord’s love with a large congregation of support.  Their positive outlook is truly inspirational.

Thanks for listening.  I’m sitting in my cube crying as I type.  Rocky’s family would appreciate your thoughts and prayers.

That is horrible.  Hard to imagine the pain they must be going through.  Incomprehensible sorrow.

Sad Prayers for the family. RIP Rocky.

Very sad  Sad

Sounds like support is abundant already - thats great.  Just in case - the following is a group that helps people through miscarriages and the loss of infants.  A former co-worker lives next door to one of the officers, and a current co-worker and his wife received support after their miscarriage.  We have played in their charity golf tourney several years now (even though I despise the course its played at) - good folks.

Based here in St. Louis, but they have groups all over the country.

Thanks, they started something very similar the first time and have kept it going.  Looks like the same type of deal.
