The Iraqi Gubment has been doing damage control all day after saying that 2010 (Which would be about 16 months after the 44th POTUS took office) was a pretty good Air quotes

aspirational time horizon. Air quotes

Of course, they had to start backing up immediately.

At one point, an Iraqi aide to the PM claimed to have had his comments mistranslated, apparently from English to Bushspeak.
