I hate bicyclists on the roads.  Even cute little Hobbit ones heading to take the train.   Wink

Honest assessment after a month and roughly 100 miles of downtown bike commute under my belt.

1)  Motorists are, by far, more law abiding than cyclists.  It's not even close.  And the fully kitted out, seemingly seasoned riders are the worst.

2)  Only a few motorists treat cyclists poorly.  Of those, the vast majority are bus drivers.  I have a new found disdain for bus drivers.  They can suck my crankset.

3)  Road construction crews seem to think the perfect spot for a "men at work" sign is right in the middle of the bike lane.  Eejits.

4)  Five pounds of Uisce fat gone bye-bye so far and a fair bit more converted to leg muscles.  What had me close to puking on day one doesn't even faze me now.  On average and allowing for luck with the traffic lights I've cut 3-5 minutes off my uphill commute in the morning.  *goshdarn* iron man so I am.

BTW, only an utter fool would pick a fight with a motor vehicle while armed with a 30 lb. bicycle.
