Flip-Flops?
« on: August 04, 2008, 07:47:26 AM » |

I can not wear flip-flops. Never have been able to. Even as a kid.
My daughter by contrast would live in them year round.
Interesting conversation with a 10 year old (Who has now supplanted Imelda Marcos as reigning queen in thonged footwear. I lost count after filling the third tub for storage.) on how they are not an appropriate logistical fashion choice for a February in Minnesota.

Footwear of choice when I'm not two-wheelin' it. Yes, at work too.

The 10 year old would be right at home here. We probably have 14 pairs of flip-flops in the entry closet right now. My youngest would wear them year round also if she could (and she loathes having to wear socks at all) and my oldest is not far behind her. And I submit that there is not another 5 year old in the United States who can run as fast as my daughter in flip-flops. It used to scare the crap out of me but now I'm just amazed at how she can run around in those things.
I have a pair and wear them outside around the house, to the beach/pool, on vacation, etc. It's weird but I don't feel comfortable driving in them.

"Christina Applegate Has A Great Rack". Don't know if this was a joke or not, considering she was just diagnosed w/ breast cancer.

In general, no. I did wear them from our room down to the beach this summer on vacation. But I wouldn't wear them any further than that.

I wear em. Not to work. Christina has a great rack and its a damned shame some disease poses a threat to that (and to her).

Never owned a pair (flip-flops or boobs). I wear my sandals at the beach (a proper sandal, that is).
But I'm looking for a super-cheap pair (flip-flops, not boobs) right now, solely to use as shower shoes at work.
