Some of them would rather stand outside on the platform waiting for the next train in the hopes of getting a seat instead of standing inside the train and getting to their destinations 15 minutes sooner.

LMAO. Like the people that park the closest to the door are the ones that should park the farthest away. Lazy Americans FTW!

most of the buses here, if you get a seat you get *fiddlesticks*ed worse than standing up.
1. the person next to you is probably wider than their seat is designed for 2. the person next to you is an 'all day rider' (homeless) and is either filthy or won't stop begging you for $ (or both) 3. the seat has someones food/drink/body fluid/ who knows what residue/stains still fresh on it 4. the aisle seats get the nice "standing assclown who refuses to take off his backpack and keeps knocking you in the head with it" effect 5. the window seats get the aisle seaters and the standers arm-flailing all around them trying to pull the stop cord instead of just asking the window seater to do it for them.

Lol I took the train this morning (millbrae to Powell for gleek). I must be a sick person magnet, everyone around me was hacking up a lung. I don't like my chances of getting through that unscathed.

I took the train from Clearfield to Woods Cross for spacey but he'd put his pants back on.

Oh... and my backpack stays on my back. Putting it on the ground is a good way to get someone's foot through my laptop. But as a standing 40-something year old I'm very considerate of 20-something dudes sitting in aisle seats.
