I really want to hope not, but this just reeks of cheapness on jetblue's side, and I simply wonder who would actually even volunteer for it (for a lunch and tba 'prize') ? Especially with having to do it in arguably the 2nd worst airport in the country...

Sadly yes. But I will say the check-in process is much better today. The fact I can print my boarding pass at home (at least on NWA) and only deal with security is nice. Especially if all you have is a carry-on. Of course you still have to deal with security and that's probably worth another ten threads of discussion.

I'm afraid I don't get the joke. Its a dry run for a new terminal. After previous failures in London and Denver, they are making the test better and more comprehensive before going live. If I lived there and my participation got me a free trip - I'd take that trip to nowhere. Free ride to Bandon anyone?

Free ride to Bandon anyone? you really think JetBlue, of all airlines, would be giving away free trips to beta testers? http://www.nydailynews.co..._for_pillow_blanket_.htmlmethinks not. probably a coupon for a free blanket and bag of peanuts on the next flight (fare minimum $600)

Especially with having to do it in arguably the 2nd worst airport in the country... LOL. I responded before I read the article. Actually my folks would probably volunteer. I would like to think they could figure out how to test the terminal but "real world" testing does have benefits. And I'm all for something that attempts to help airports run smoother.

Of course you still have to deal with security and that's probably worth another ten threads of discussion. I truly wouldn't mind dealing with security if I actually believed any of it actually made airline travel safer. Personally, though, I'd be more than willing to go back to the old days, knowing full well that the 9/11 hijackings would never, ever play out the way they did again.
