Child development milestones
« on: August 19, 2008, 09:20:20 PM »

I just watched some old home videos, and I now recall that by the time my daughter was 19 months old, she was able to identify and say "Elmo", "duck", "elephant", and "Santa". She could also identify and say all 10 digits and most of the letters of the alphabet.

My son is now approaching 18 months, and he's still speaking mostly gibberish and can, on occasion, say simple words like "apple" and "bye-bye". I can't imagine that in 1.5 months he's going to be able to catch up to where my daughter was at that age.  Sad

Apparently, the second child is always a late developer.  Possibly because by the time the second one comes around they're more relaxed.

Clearly due to the fact that you are no longer belting out Neil Diamond tunes on Karaoke Revolution with the ardent fervor you held with the first child.

Sad really.  The kid is going to grow up not unlike me.

unpossible.
