I don't see how a pro-life redstater has an ounce of appeal to anyone who was a Hillary supporter.

You can't see how a woman on the ticket appeals to the deadenders who were leaning McCain anyway?

You're just not in touch with your bitter, post menopausal side. Cool

Shores him up with The Base, and he needed alot of help there. They NEED them to win. It's not a question of they may vote for Obama, it's a question of them staying home, a very real possibility with Romney or Ridge on the ticket.

(PS: Obama can win without Pennsylvania or Ohio, but not without Pennsylvania AND Ohio.)

That may have been the point: She's untouchable, as far as the WorldNet Daily readers are considered. Any ill speaking of her will be a double dose of bias from the evil media, etc, etc, etc.

My wife, whose appetite for the political has risen to insatiable, reports reading from more than one pundit that Ms. Palin will decline, citing her 4-month-old with Downs Syndrome.  McCain will be seen as progressive and will be free to pick some older, richer white guy, in accordance with Holy Scripture.

She's big into the conspiracy *feces* these days, if you hadn't noticed.

I was telling my wife this very thing earlier today.  It wouldn't surprise me at all. Undecided

I'm not so sure she shores the base, or that the base will really welcome her more than just tepidly.  The hard core creo base prefers external plumbing in their leaders.  To the extent they'll follow a woman, she's better if post-menopausal (ie, Phyllis Schlafly).  They really don't like the idea of taking a robustly fertile woman out of the gene pool and away from her progeny, just to do a job any good Christian man could do just as well.

Assuming she gets to Washington, it will chew her up and spit her out in the first 60 days.  That is not a town wheret outsiders do well.  I don't care how tough she's been in Alaska running the youth hockey leagues.  She's completely ill-prepared to survive inside the beltway, much less contribute to governance.
