Crazy two weeks, eight hours of class everyday, test every week, field trips to the different institutions...oooops sorry, they're called "correctional centers" now. The trip to the Washington Correctional Center for Woman (can anyone say Mary Kay Letourneau) was an eye opener. As you can imagine their is a vast difference in the way men and women "do time", no more really needs to be said 'bout dat.
It's still crazy to me that I'm a cop (kinda).
It's a great opportunity, and I'm studying my arse off, I have about 3 hours of study today, in between painting a wall, watching some cars go fast, and checking out the final round of the Dutchy Bank.
I just had to show you my weapons qualifying sheet, now I should pre-face this by saying I have never fired a rifle in my life, we had a 2 hour "discussion" on how not to kill your neighbor when this weapon is loaded, Ps. we were firing a AR-15 assault rifle with a .223 projectile (for those in the know), a great home defense weapon I must say.
We were at a distance of 80 yards, with a strong right to left wind on a clear hot day. This is my score sheet.
You can't see the bullet "hit" from that distance so you're really just "squeezin' and prayin" (ahhhhh I journey song in there somewhere). My 282/300 was tied for the highest score in the class, next to a young lady who weighs all of 100 pounds dripping wet.
So...yeah...been kinda busy, lurking a lot, my head hurts by the time I get home so I usually just vegetate.
