I heard that when his daughter was injured in a car accident he told the hospital staff, "I don't want any of them dang Negro nurses helping my daughter! Or else I'm gonna have some of my rowdy friends come over an' take care of them. Ya hear?"
Or something to that effect.

If we're pointing out idiots, there's a lot of targets to go around.

Name one Hollywood "nitwit" that's perpetuating outright lies and trying to appeal to the lowliest of the racist scum that inhabit this country.

pssst...gleek..your total and complete bias is showing. Plenty of hollywood nitwits spouting off in a similar manner. Just depends on your point of view I guess. Take your pick: http://www.huffingtonpost...celebrities-talk-politics*NOTE: Unfortunately I feel I need to add that in no way is this post condoning or approving Hank Jr.

Gotta go with Hobbit on this one. Larry King had Sheryl Crow on bloviating about politics for an hour, like I or anybody else give a *fudge* what Sheryl Crow thinks. So I turned on Rachel Maddow and watched her dress down some right wing tool who told her that he felt her show was 'Dragging Down The Level Of Debate'. Good thing the guy never listened to her radio show...

I watched part of that particular program. She had a cool and calm demeanor about her, but I wouldn't call it pompous. I don't exactly care for Crow's music, but I can say that she speaks coherently and is quite capable of formulating an original thought, which I can't say for Governor Palin. More importantly, to get back on topic, I did not hear her repeat a blatantly false talking point. Hank Jr., OTOH, swallowed up the pablum being served up by the McCain surrogates, and parroted it back in verse: "John and Sarah tell you just what they think. And they're not gonna blink. And they don't have terrorist friends to whom their careers are linked," Williams sang.
